Testing Tuesday Trivia

Did you know…

"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" contains every letter in the standard English alphabet!

And for the non-Brits, how's about some British Slang

What’s the most useless piece of trivia you pull out when trying to impress?

  1. JJ!

Hugs darlin' I'm back and yes I did know that about that sentence...interesting isn't it.

I saw Valance's wonderful 'thank you for helping me' post to you about his poem...that was really sweet of you to do to back him up like that...I was watching it as it went down...it got sicky there for a wee bit. I had wished I could have helped Valance with that as well, but I did't know him then or anything about his poem...I knew Valance wrote it... no one has his voice...but I had no background knowledge to back him up...soooooo glad you did. What happened wasn't right.

Good fight darlin' - Proud of you both!

BTW it was an awesome poem and well worth fightin' for IMHO....I wish he'd post it on his blog!

    Many hugs

  2. Cheers, Housty. That poem, in it's original state, was a true picture of visual and poetic art. Don't tell Valance, that, or he won't get his head in here, never mind his boots!

  3. JJ,

Oh I know...Valance sent me the original state of it...it was just pure talent!

Oh never...I wouldn't tell that cowboy that...goodness girl...his head is way too big as it is...look, he just got home and already he's off playing with the Smutty Hussy! Nope me lips are closed! ;-)

    Hugs

  4. Disgraceful behaviour... There's no poetic justice in playing away from the porch!

  6. Howdy Storyteller. Yup, she does. She even likes some of them, too.

OK JJ... useless bits of trivia... lemme see... here's some of the surviving bits of French I remember from school. 'J'arrive a l'ecole et huite heure a demi.' And 'Mille neuf sans soixante huite.' (Spelling dubious)

I can't say it's been very helpful over the years, but it was never going to be, as it means 'I arrive at school at half past eight,' and '1968'

  7. You went to school in 1968... and you can remember the time you started... I'm impressed, Cowboy!
